original Long Street Business Association which
was incorporated 18 years ago to improve the
quality of life in the Historic Long Street District.
We have made several changes to our
Association, the first being our name change
and the use of our trade-name LSBA, Inc.
We plan to uphold the mission, plans and
objectives of the founders as we transition into
a powerful year of growth and possibility.
As you drive on the Near East Side, you will see
the developments and projects that were
planned several years ago coming to fruition.
The construction of the St. Paul Wellness Center
on Long & Jefferson, the Gideon Project on Long
& Hamilton, the demolition of the Whitney Young
Apartment Complex, the one-going renovation
of the Historic Lincoln Theater and the first
stages in developing an "Arts & Entertainment
Area" within the district.
We are planning more developments to change
the landscape of this area as this year progress.
